Need help with appliance repair? AppliancePartsPros has just launched a brand new appliance repair forum. Post your repair question and receive expert help… for free. You can also browse or search previous answers. Since most repair problems are common, there is a good chance you’ll find an answer.
To ask a question, you’ll need to register first. Don’t worry, it’s both free and painless. Then, click on the “Post New Topic” button within the appliance thread you’re enquiring about (refrigerator repair, washer repair, etc.). “Don’t forget to include your appliance model number” – the forum admin notes in an announcement – “It makes it a lot easier for our technicians and volunteers to help you with your repair problem.”
The repair forum offers help with dishwashers, dryers, garbage disposers, heating and air conditioning units, microwaves, ovens, stoves, cooktops, refrigerators, and washing machines. The advice comes from AppliancePartsPros team technicians as well as appliance repair technicians that volunteer their time on the forum.

I have an old Pryne bathroom fan. When I turn it
on, the fab blade won’t move. It is trying to.
I get a buzzing sound. I removed it and oiled/cleaned. When I put it back in, it runs but
when I come back to reuse it, I get the buzzing
sound. Have been able to push the blade and get it moving, but it is tiresome and a little dangerous.

Paul, you probably need a new motor. Post everything off the motor label and I’ll try to find a replacement.

I have a GE dish washer (model # GSD4200J00BB). It was in a house when we bought it. the house was new but had been on the market for about 9 mos. we have been in the house just under a year (11 mos almost to the day). about a week ago, it started leaking out of the door. I checked the sump and it wasn’t clogged. the sink drain works properly, and I disconnected the drain hose and cycled the dishwasher so that it would drain into a bucket that I had and that seemed to work too.
I am at a loss, not sure what to do next. any help would be greatly appreciated. the 1 year warranty is gone on it because it was purchased and then not used.
