Your Whirlpool oven stopped working? In most cases, it’s because the oven igniter went out. Checking to see if the “glow bar” still glows will tell you whether it’s bad or not. If the glow bar is glowing bright white, it’s probably fine. On the other hand, if it’s giving a red or orange glow, it most likely needs to be replaced. Remember, anytime you deal with an igniter, make sure you don’t touch the “glow bar” (the grey part) because it is very fragile.
This oven igniter fits most Whirlpool, Kenmore, Magic Chef, Maytag, Frigidaire, and GE gas ovens. It replaces most round style igniters. It does not replace flat style igniters. Made by Whirlpool. Part Number: 4342528.
