The Whirlpool dryer idler pulley is located below the drum which aligns with the drive motor pulley. The purpose of the idler pulley is to give tension to the drive belt. This idler pulley is used with the drive belt which you can find in the maintenance kit along with the drum support rollers, the tri-rings and a clip.
