This Maytag bake element is a common replacement used in Maytag made electric ovens and ranges. It is a spade terminal element with approximately 1-3/4 inches of spacing between the terminals (other measurements are listed below). You can check your model number to make sure this element is the correct fit for your oven or range and you can also refer to the list of models at the bottom of this post.

Two ways to check for a bad bake element:  

1. You can see if you’re bake element is bad by looking for any burn marks on the body. If it looks burnt, it’s most likely bad and needs to be replaced.
2. The other way is to check for resistance. Using and ohmmeter, you can check if the element has any continuity. If your ohmmeter shows zero ohms, the bake element needs to be replaced. Note: Make sure you always unplug your appliance before performing this check.
