This is one of the common closed hinge bake elements used in Frigidaire made electric wall ovens. There are a couple of ways to check for a bad bake element. One way is to look for any visible physical damage. If the element has burn marks on it, it’s most likely bad. Another way is to check for continuity. To do that, you would need an ohmmeter. Make sure to unplug your appliance anytime you’re doing this. If your ohmmeter shows no ohms, the bake element is bad. Check your model number to see if this bake element will fit your oven.
