Clothes not drying as fast as they used to?
Tue, Apr 22, 2008
Does it take twice as long as before to dry your clothes? Thinking of buying a new dryer? Before you do, you may want to check out a common problem with dryers that is easy to fix. This problem occurs due to lint build up. You might say, “I clean my lint screen every load”. The truth of the matter is that the lint screen only catches some of the lint. The rest of the lint is funneled through a tube that comes out of the side or back of your dryer and is vented usually to the outside of your house. What happens is the lint accumulates in this tube and restricts the airflow of your dryer causing longer drying times. The easy fix is to get behind your dryer and clean the tube out as demonstrated in this youtube video by user expertvillage. Please post any comments regarding this post below.
