Brand Power Or Just Good Marketing

When you hear names like Home Depot and Best Buy, what comes to mind? Think about about it for a second, then read on. These companies supply the everyday products & services that some of us can’t live without like appliances, electronics, hardware, etc. We the time comes that we need such products, many times it is these large stores that first come to mind.

When was the last time you rated one of these places or one of your favorite stores? There are all different sites to do online ratings. We ran across one that caught our attention and surprised us. ResellerRatings.com is a site that compares prices, store ratings, and bargains. http://www.resellerratings.com/topstores.pl is the link where they have the ratings of some of the most popular stores we all shop at. We were surprised to see stores like Home Depot and Best Buy with low lifetime ratings of 1.96 and 1.54 respectfully. Both stores are below 2 on a possible high 10 rating. How would you rate them based on your past experiences?

This got me to thinking…Do we now just shop for convenience? Are we no longer concerned with a quality shopping experience? It can be said that most people only review companies when they have had a bad experience, but the website has plenty of companies that have scores of 9 or better with thousands of reviews.
